Professor Kakogawa presents robotics technologies at ESEC Founding Anniversary Symposium

On May 23, the Earth & Space Exploration Center (ESEC) organized the Founding Anniversary Symposium at the Ritsumeikan Suzaku Campus. During the first half of the event, Professor Kakogawa delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of mechanisms to ensure robots function effectively in extreme environments. He introduced several robots including the gas pipe inspection robot, the sewer pipe inspection robot and the lunar rover. In the latter half of the event, astronaut Mr. Soichi Noguchi, the ESEC Special Advisor who also serves as the Special Advisor to the President of Ritsumeikan University delivered a speech.
